The Southern Chiefs’ Organization (SCO) is sharing upcoming events for people impacted by the Sixties Scoop.
The Mennonite Central Committee Manitoba is working with the Anish Corporation to host events starting in May and running until the end of the year.
The events are:
• Sixties Scoop Craft & Chat
• Sharing Circles
Sixties Scoop Craft & Chat:
Enjoy beading or bring along other craft projects of your choice. Meet in a welcoming, creative space.
When: May 14 & 28 and June 11 & 25
Time: 10:30 am – 1:30 pm
Where: Home Street Mennonite Church, 318 Home Street, Winnipeg, Treaty One Territory
Participants can receive a light lunch and bus tickets.
Sharing Circles:
These circles take place each month. They offer space for connection, reflection, and support.
When: May 3; June 7; July 5; August 2; September 6; October 4; November 1; and December 6
Time: 10 am – 12:30 pm
Where: Sergeant Tommy Prince Place, 90 Sinclair Street, Winnipeg, Treaty One Territory
