The Southern Chiefs’ Organization invites you to an information session in Winnipeg, Treaty One Territory, to learn about our Residential School Research Project.

Time: 9 am to 3 pm
Location: Turtle Island Neighbourhood Centre, 510 King Street, Winnipeg
At this session, you will have a chance to learn about:
- The “My Records, My Choice” campaign
- Searching and acquiring records from Archives Canada, churches, university archives, Vital Statistics, and Hudson’s Bay Company Archives
- Completing claim forms, including the Federal Indian Hospital Settlement claims
- Reconnecting with family members and restoring family history
- Locating unmarked graves of children and people who attended residential schools, day schools, Indian hospitals, tuberculosis sanatoriums, and other institutions
