Virtual Creation Story – Dakota

Anish Corporation invites you to sit and listen to the Dakota Creation story, the third in a series of Indigenous Creation Stories shared by Knowledge Keepers from different communities. Elder and Knowledge Keeper Wanbdi Wakita will share with us a creation story passed through the generations, an oral tradition.
In the past, many nations gathered together in the winter time to share stories and connect with friends, family and community. Our ancestors sat around fires sharing about how the world came to be as it was. Coming together in a good way to share these teachings is our way of Reclaiming Cultural Connections and Reigniting Blood Memory.
