The Pathways to Healing Program at the Southern Chiefs’ Organization (SCO) is pleased to offer events for Survivors and family members impacted by residential schools, day schools, the 60s Scoop, child welfare system, and the national emergency of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, two spirit, and gender-diverse people.
Our upcoming events are as follows:

- January 25: Virtual sharing circle for Sixties Scoop Survivors
- February 4: Sharing circle for Sixties Scoop Survivors in Winnipeg
- February 8: Virtual sharing circle for Sixties Scoop Survivors
- February 9: Beading workshop in Winnipeg
- February 10: Sharing circle for Sixties Scoop Survivors in Brandon

January 25: 60s Scoop Virtual Sharing Circle
SCO invites Survivors of the 60s Scoop to meet virtually on Zoom on Thursday, January 25, from 6 to 8pm Central Standard Time.
This time together will serve as a safe place for Survivors to be with others who understand their experiences in a virtual environment.
An Elder and emotional support will be at the event and available to those who need them.

February 4: 60s Scoop Sharing Circle in Winnipeg
SCO invites Survivors of the 60s Scoop to a sharing circle on Sunday, February 4, from 10 am to 12 pm.
This time together will serve as a safe place for Survivors to be with others who understand their experiences.
We will share coffee and light snacks at Sargeant Tommy Prince Place at 90 Sinclair Street in Winnipeg.
An Elder and emotional support will be at the event, and bus tickets will be available for participants who may need them.
February 8: 60s Scoop Virtual Sharing Circle

February 9: Beading workshop in Winnipeg
SCO is hosting a free beading workshop in Winnipeg from 10 am to 2 pm on February 9, 2024.
Joanne Soldier will lead our group. We will share a lunch together, and bus tickets will be available to participants who need them.
This workshop is open to Survivors and family members impacted by residential schools, day schools, the 60s Scoop and child welfare system, and the national emergency of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, two spirit, and gender-diverse people.
The workshop will take place at 1555 St. James Street in Winnipeg. You can access the building by using the back door.

SCO invites Survivors of the 60s Scoop Survivors to a sharing circle on February 10 at the Brandon Friendship Centre 60s Scoop Eagle Healing Lodge.
This time together will serve as a safe place for Survivors to be with others who understand their experiences.
A light lunch and refreshments will be provided.
