October 4th is an important day to remember our relatives, as it is the Provincial Day of Awareness and Education as well as the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Two Spirit, and Gender-Diverse People (MMIWG2S+).

Honour this day of awareness, education, and action at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg on October 4 from 10 am to 4 pm.

This event is hosted by the MMIWG2S+ Implementation Committee, Giganawenimaanaanig. The Southern Chiefs’ Organization was one of the founding members of this committee.
