Dakota Response to Standing Rock

NOVEMBER 22, 2016

November 22, 2016. Treaty 1 Territory. Dakota Tipi First Nation Chief and Council are shocked over the images of Elders, women, children and Dakota people being assaulted in Standing Rock, North Dakota.

We are calling upon all those who support the people of Standing Rock to assemble at Dakota Tipi First Nation on Saturday November 26, 2016 to discuss a stance in solidarity in response to the attacks upon our Dakota brothers and sisters.

Chief Pashe stated “Our people are angered by the use of violence against our Dakota Nation at Standing Rock. As the new Chief of Dakota Tipi, I promise that we can and will respond to any violence against our people and support the people of Standing Rock”.

We condemn the historical and modern violence, which is condoned and supported by the Government of North Dakota and the Federal Government of the United States.  We call upon the Canadian Government to condemn the violence against our people.

We ask all people who oppose this violence to gather at Dakota Tipi, Saturday, November 26th, 2016 at 10:00 am.  Together, we will take action and not allow our people in Standing Rock, ND to stand alone.
